“I left at 15.. I started to write becase I was taken off a ship from Germany when I was 18. They said I wouldn’t live for 6 months.
I’d been given up for dead many times and I just didn’t want to waste my life. I had what I now realize was a spiritual experience.
I realized that I would die,
and that just before I would die,
two things would happen.
number one, I would regret my entire life.
and number two, I would want to live my life over again.
and then I would die.
and that terrified me.
to think that I would live my entire life, look at it, and say oh..I blew it. was such a terrifying thought
that I bought a typewriter
I didn’t know what I was going to do with it, but I bought a typewriter.
but that is what got me to start writing, was
I did not want to waste my life
I wanted to, and I HAD to, do something with my life”
"BBC Frozen Planet Augmented Reality, NJ, IL, CA - USA by Appshaker
BBC Home Entertainment partnered with Appshaker Ltd for its first Augmented Reality Tour in the US, in support of the Blu-ray/DVD Frozen Planet that became available on April 17, 2012. With 4 distinctive broadcast quality 3D scenes, delighted crowds had the opportunity to place themselves right inside the content, where they were able to interact with the animals of the Polar Region. This event acted as an organic cross between an art installation and advertising. With live streaming from each event, family and friends were able to share their experience around the world.
The three market tour ran from April 19 – April 22 in New Jersey, Illinois and California and was inspired by the television series Frozen Planet, co produced by BBC/Discovery Channel, which made its US television debut March 18th on Discovery reaching over 25 million viewers.

Beautifully simple Mr Kipling Jubilee celebrations from the lovely Mark Campion and Adam Collins here at JWT London.
is bottled water. I love how someone decided to take something we can all get at home for free/dirt cheap and put it in a bottle, and sell it for a few quid, and everyone went mad for it. It baffles me… but it’s brilliant.
Social Sneekers
Italy-based graphic designer Lumen Bigott has combined Keds brand sneakers with images from familiar online companies in her 2011 concept project, Social Media Shoes. She has more images at her Behance portfolio.
I’m a big fan of inspiration blogs, I also spend a lot of time in social networks and I love fashion: those three things are responsible of this shoes collection. The idea was to find the most important graphic elements of my favorite social networks and apply them to my favorite pair of shoes trying to keeping alive the essence of each brand.
